Hi everyone! Just back from a weekend of camping and I forgot to schedule this before I headed out. As such, I can share this lovely view from Lincoln Rock State Park, where we camped:
But back to the stitching!
Last time I showed how I was progressing on Mr. Frog:
All of the confetti work on the frog is done, which means stitching those little bits will go quickly. The lily pad really only has confetting around the edges, and most of that is already stitched. So I feel like I can finish the frog in the next couple of days.
That means that stitching the background in that lovely teal is just around the corner ... but what stitch to do? I've decided I'll play with a few different things. I'd like texture that doesn't overwhelm the lovely, delicate colors in the frog. We shall see!
Mr Frog is looking very good!

ReplyDeleteI love these colors so much. Who knew I had a soft spot for frogs, too?
DeleteYou made so really great progress despite the vacation - which looks like a beautiful place to do some camping :)
ReplyDeleteoops this anonymous always catches me up - its me Sharon
DeleteThanks Sharon -- it has been such a joy to stitch this big canvas. I saw a kit with FIVE COUNT canvas and thought, wow, that could be a weekend project. :)
DeleteWowsers you got a lot accomplished in the last 3 weeks!
ReplyDeleteI've really enjoyed working on cross stitch projects because the colors can be so delicate... but a big wool needlepoint is so satisfying because it really moves along!
DeleteYou've made quite a lot of progress on this frog. I love it!
