Hi everyone! I hope you are safe and well. We're lucky that we're in are only in the heavy smoke, but safe from the fires. 2020 continues to be so darn 2020...
Here's where I was last time:
And here's where I am now -- the tiger and some of the bushes are stitched!
I really like the subtle colors in the tiger... and his very sweet face:
Perhaps he's vegetarian?
My goal for next time is to finish stitching the leaves on the top, and start the top border.
Our next check in is on October 4. Till then, check out all the great projects that the other stitchers in this stitch-a-long are working on:
Avis, Claire, Gun, Carole, Sue, Constanze, Christina, Kathy, Margaret, Cindy, Heidi, Jackie, Hayley, Megan, Deborah, Mary Margaret, Renee, Carmela, Sharon, Daisy, Anne, Connie, AJ, Jenny, Laura, Cathie, Linda, and Helen.
Wow, you have done a lot of stiching these last three weeks. That tiger is beautiful. So glad that you are safe. Those wildfires are horrifying.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cathie! This piece is actually relatively small -- at least compared to my previous needlepoints! There's a lot of plain background I'll need to do eventually.
DeleteYou've done loads already. It looks fabulous. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteThanks Avis! Since we're being told to stay indoors due to the poor air quality, that means more time for stitching!
DeletePraying for all of you Sue! We have family on the west coast and they have been texting us photos. Stay safe! Your tiger does look sweet :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary Margaret! I do love the tiger's face!
DeleteSorry that should say Sunny! Too much blog hopping ♀️
ReplyDeletelovely stitching, and hope the air clears soon.

Thanks Claire!
DeleteSmoke up here in Bellingham too :( I feel just awful for down south. I can't even imagine and I have family in Clackamas Co. - still safe thankfully. That tiger really looks so life like. Hope you meet your goal :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon! Yeah, we've been worried about friends in the south, too. Glad to hear your family is safe. Here's hoping for rain!
DeleteWow, this is coming right along! Is it a larger mesh count than the Wm. Morris pillows were? Won't we be glad to be able to take a deep breath again , hopefully soon?!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue! Yep, the Morris pillows were 14-count, this one is 12-count. It's also a smaller pattern, which hopefully means I'll be able to finish it before, oh, 2022! Hope you are well.
DeleteYou are incredibly fast at needle point Sunny! Mr. Tiger really looks regal and the colors of the bushes just make him stand out all the more!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy -- I really like the colors on this piece so it's moving along. I also have another project I really want to work on (sadly, not one of the things I had even been considering!) so that's nudging me forward.
DeleteCute big cat!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gun! I love his sweet face.
DeleteYour tiger looks great!
ReplyDeleteThanks Laura!
DeleteA sweet little face! I'm sorry for the emergency you are experiencing! You are in my thoughts! Good embroidery ...
ReplyDeleteCarmela
Thanks Carmela! We're actually so lucky that it's only the smoke, and not the fires.
