Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend medals revealed!

I used to always try to avoid seeing race medals before I had earned it for myself. So much so that, towards the end of a race, I would look away from anyone who had already finished and was walking back along the course. (Really.)

But now, well, it's difficult to avoid seeing them well before the race even starts. And I'm okay with that -- especially when they look great, like these medals from the Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend!

The 5K and the Kids Races medals are made of rubber... really nicely candy colored, and highly detailed, like all of the 5K and Kids Races medals. (What little kid isn't going to NUTS over the big Hulk on that medal!)

The Half Marathon medal features a big spinning Avengers "A", the backside of which has symbols representing Captain America, Thor, and the Hulk on the other. (Yeah, I know, I'm sure they'll put Black Widow, Hawkeye, and... IRON MAN on the next one...)

Both the 5K and the Half Marathon medal feature "Inaugural Mission" detailing, and you know how much I like an inaugural!

The half marathon is exactly 100 DAYS away -- guess I should get to work on my costume!!! Now, what should I wear???
